Hi, I’m Sandra — the owner of Finding Balance Yoga and your lead teacher for this training. I’ve been teaching yoga for 5 years and coaching women through real-life transformation for over a decade.

I believe yoga teacher training should be more than memorizing poses or learning to cue a flow —

Meet Sandra!

it should help you connect more deeply with your own body, your own voice, and the unique way you’re meant to share yoga with others (or simply with yourself).

My approach is rooted in both practical experience and curiosity. I’m here to break things down clearly, ask good questions, and hold space for the kind of growth that sticks — on and off the mat. Whether you're here to teach or to deepen your practice, this training is designed to meet you where you are and support who you're becoming.

With over 16 years of teaching experience and 4,000+ hours of leading public classes, I’ve had the privilege of guiding students at all levels. For the past eight years, I’ve trained aspiring yoga teachers across Texas and Oklahoma, and in 2021, I founded Spirit of Light Yoga Academy, creating a comprehensive training program for those ready to deepen their practice and step into teaching.

Meet Julie!

As an E-RYT 500 and YACEP with Yoga Alliance, I’m passionate about helping students build confidence, find their unique voice, and develop a strong foundation in both practice and teaching. My background includes a variety of styles, from Power and Vinyasa to Yin, Gentle, Chair, and Restorative Yoga. Whether you dream of teaching or simply want to take your practice to the next level, I can’t wait to support and mentor you on this incredible path.

I’m honored to bring my love for yoga to Finding Balance Yoga in Round Rock and to be part of this transformative experience with you. Let’s dive in together and explore what’s possible!

Yoga is more than movement—it’s a way of living, thinking, and showing up in the world. In this training, you’ll explore the deep roots of yoga through the Eight Limbs, foundational texts like The Yoga Sutras, and the timeless teachings that have been passed down for centuries. Through thoughtful discussion and self-inquiry, you’ll learn how to bring these principles into your practice—and your life—so yoga becomes more than just what happens on the mat.

Ancient Wisdom for Modern Practice

You’ll learn functional anatomy in a way that’s digestible and approachable—no memorizing muscles just to forget them later. Instead, you’ll gain a solid foundation in alignment, safe modifications, and how to adapt poses for real people with real bodies. Whether you’re working with beginners, experienced yogis, or students recovering from injury, you’ll know how to guide them with clarity, confidence, and care.

Understand the Body, Teach with Confidence

You’ll learn how to confidently teach vinyasa flow by understanding its roots and how to structure intentional, well-balanced classes. We’ll also dive into the foundations of teaching other styles like adaptive yoga, restorative, and yin—so you’re prepared to support a variety of students. With a focus on clear cueing, purposeful sequencing, and hands-on teaching practice, you’ll refine your skills through feedback, mentorship, and plenty of real-time experience—so you can lead with confidence and authenticity.

Build Classes That Flow and Inspire

You’ll explore different styles of yoga, build confidence in your unique approach, and learn to teach in a way that feels natural and authentic. With mindfulness as a foundation, you’ll develop the tools to support both your students and yourself. You’ll also gain essential skills for building a sustainable wellness career beyond the mat.
